TRACY, San Joaquin County — November 4, 2026. A new batch has reversed the standings in Tracy’s City Council District 1. Jass Sangha leads Robin Cole by 49 votes in an unofficial update at 1:11 a.m. Pacific. Earlier election-night totals had Cole narrowly ahead.

How the lead changed

The timestamped results history from The Ballot Book shows Cole with 1,216 votes and Sangha with 1,211 at 8:11 p.m. on November 3. By 1:11 a.m. on November 4, Sangha had 1,574 votes (50.8%) and Cole had 1,525 (49.2%), out of 3,099 votes then counted.

Mayor and District 3 are separate contests

In a different citywide election, Dan Arriola led the mayor’s race with 6,905 votes (51.9%), followed by Mateo Bedolla with 5,378 and Uyiosa Felix Oviawe with 1,018. In Council District 3, Dan Evans had 1,729 votes (54.1%) in the same countywide results tracker. Do not add those votes to the District 1 figures.

What happens next

A margin of 49 votes can change as timely mail and provisional ballots are verified. A lead is not a declaration of election. San Joaquin County plans a public manual tally and states that final certified county results will be published after that process, expected November 25. See the Registrar of Voters for subsequent updates.
